89. The punishment for the illegal arrest, detention or confinement of a person, without the concurrence of any of the circumstances mentioned in article 87( b), (c), (d), (e), (f) and ( g), and in the last preceding article, shall be imprisonment for a term from seven months to one year, where the offender, before the commencement of any proceedings at law, restores to liberty the person arrested, detained or confined, within twenty-four hours after the arrest, detention or confinement, provided that durin g this interval the offender has not attained the object for which suc h person has been arrested, detained or confined. Removal from Malta of a minor in breach of an order of any authority. Added by: LXIV .2021.4. Cap. 602.
