755. In actions touching the existe nce or validity of any contract
of lease, or the determination of any lease before the term agr eed
upon, the value is established -
(a) in the first case, by the to tal amount of the rent in
respect of the whole period fo r which it is claimed that
the contract is operative; and
(b) in the second case, by the total amount of the rent in
respect of the whole period remaining for the
completion of the contract.
