128D. If in any adoption proceedings a person files a document purporting to indicate the consent to the adoption or the revoc ation thereof, where the signature is forged or obtained by fraud or duress, such person shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable t o imprisonment for a term of not less th an six months but not exceeding one year or to a fine ( multa ) of not less than one thousand and one hundred and sixty-four euro and sixty - nine cents (1,164.69) but not more than two thousand and three hundred and twenty-nine euro and thirty-seven cents (2,329.37), or to both.
