Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 128C
128C. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, a person
who impersonates or falsely repr esents himself to be an adopted
child, parent, adopter, relativ e, person whose consent to the
adoption of a child is required at law, or other person having an

interest in an adopted child, shall be guilty of an offence and shall,
on conviction, be liable to impri sonment for a term of not less than
three months but not exceeding six months or to a fine ( multa ) of
not less than five hundred and eighty-two euro and thirty-four cents
(582.34) but not more than one thousand and one hundred and
sixty-four euro and sixty-nine cents (1,164. 69), or to both.
