Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 25
25. (1) Upon a claim for maintenance, it shall be lawful for
the court, pendente lite , to order the defendant to pay to the
plaintiff an interim allowance in such amount as is necessary f or
bare subsistence, provided the defendant be evidently one of th e
persons who, if possessed of suff icient means, would according to
law be liable to supply main tenance to the plaintiff.
18 [CAP. 16. CIVIL CODE
(2) Where in any such case the claim for maintenance is
disallowed, the defendant shall be entitled to claim, from the
plaintiff himself, or from the person bound to supply maintenan ce,
to such plaintiff, the reimbursement of any amount he may have
paid, together with interest thereon.
