Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 354
354. The owner may demand the security, where required,
either before or within one year after the usufructuary shall h ave
commenced to exercise his rights over the things subject to the
usufruct; after the expiration of the said year, it shall not b e lawful
for the owner to demand the secu rity unless he proves that the
condition or the conduct of the usufructuary has so changed tha t the
fulfilment of his obligations is thereby endangered.
