517. It shall be lawful for each of the co-owners to demand that strangers be invited by means of an advertisement to bid at the sale by licitation, such advertisement being published in one or mor e newspapers, at least six days b efore that fixed for the sale. No formalities required where licitation takes place with the consent of all co- owners,
