544. With regard to decorative expenses the possessor, whether
in good or bad faith, shall only be entitled to take back the
adornments in kind, provided this be advantageous to the posses sor

and not injurious to the thing, unless the owner desires to ret ain
such adornments, and pay to the possessor a sum corresponding t o
the profit that the latter mi ght make by taking them away.
