Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 565

565. (1) The provisions of the last preceding article shall not apply to such things as are cast or have fallen into the sea, or are thrown by the sea upon the shore, or to plants and herbs which grow on the seashore, or in the bottom of the sea, except in so far as the rights over such things are not regulated by special laws. (2) It shall not be lawful, without the permission of the President of Malta, to fish for coral or other similar things that are formed or grown in the bottom of the sea.
