661. (1) Any notary who acts in contravention of the provision of the last preceding article shall, upon civil proceedings instituted at the suit of the State Advocate, be condemned to interdiction from his office for a period not exceeding two years, or to a fine (multa) of not less than two hundred and thirty-two euro and ninety-four cents (232.94), nor exceeding two thousand and three hundred and twenty-nine euro and thirty-seven cents (2,329.37). (2) The provisions of this article shall not supersede the provisions of the Criminal Code, where the facts constitute an offence under that Code. Note of particulars prescribed by Code of Org. and Civ. Proc. to be equivalent to act of delivery. Amended by: XVIII.2004.78. Cap. 12.
