Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 721
721. (1) Any pure and simple legacy shall vest the legatee, as
from the day of the death of the testator, with the right to re ceive
the thing bequeathed, transmissible to the heirs of such legate e, or
to any person claiming under him.
(2) Where the legacy is made conditionally, such right shall not
vest in the legatee before the fulfilment of the condition.
