Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 881

881. The heir having the actual possession of the property of the inheritance, is bound to make up the inventory within three months from the day of the opening of the succession, or from the day on which he knew that the inheritance devolved upon him. Heir failing to commence or complete inventory within prescribed time to be deemed to have accepted inheritance without benefit of inventory.
