Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 917
917. A donee who was not the heir presumptive at the time of
the donation, but who, at the t ime of the opening of the succes sion,
is entitled to succeed, shall b e bound to collate the value of the
things given to him, unless the donor shall have exempted him f rom
such obligation.
Donations to
descendant of heir
are exempt from
collation.
