Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 982
982. (1) Every contract has for its s ubject-matter a thing which
one of the contracting parties bi nds himself to give, or to do, or not
to do.
(2) Only the things that are not extra commercium can be the
subject of an agreement.
(3) The mere use or the mere possession of a thing can like the
thing itself, be the subject of a contract.
Subject of

thing.
