Civil Code (Cap. 16), article 983
983. (1) The subject of an obligation must be a thing
determinate, at leas t as to its species.
(2) The portion or quantity of the thing may be uncertain,
provided it is capable of being ascertained.
Future things may
be the subject of
contracts.
