101. (1) It shall be lawful for the Minister responsible for the Police, with the concurrence of the Minister responsible for fi nance, to make, vary and revoke regulations for the granting of pensions to persons who have served in the P olice Force or to their legal representatives or dependants: Provided that until varied or revoked by any such regulations, the regulations contained in the Fourth Schedule shall be in fo rce. (2) Any regulations made under this article may have retrospecti ve effect in order to confer a benefit upon, or remove a disabilit y attaching to any person or class of persons. (3) No regulation made under this article shall have effect unle ss it has received the prior approval of the House of Representatives signified by resolution. (4) Any pension granted under this Act shall be computed in accordance with the provisions in force at the actual date of t he POLICE ACT [CAP. 164. 33 officer’s retirement. Pensions to be charged on revenues of Malta. 102.There shall be charged on and paid out of the Consolidated Fund all such sums of money as may from time to time be granted by way of pension in accor dance with this Act.
