10. An application for registry of a ship, whether provisional or otherwise, shall contain such information, details and docum ents as may be required by the registrar, and shall be made, in the case of individuals by the person requiring to be registered as owne r or by some one or more of the persons so requiring if more than on e, or by his or their agent, and in t he case of bodies corporate b y their agent; and the authority of the agent shall be testified by wri ting, if appointed by individuals under the hand of the appointors and, if appointed by a body corporate under the hand of a person or persons authorised to authenticate documents for the body corporate.
