Merchant Shipping Act (Cap. 234), article 142
142. Where the service of a seaman terminates before the date
contemplated in the agreement by reason of his being left on sh ore
at any place abroad under a certificate granted as provided by this
Act of his unfitness or inability to proceed on the voyage, he shall
be entitled to wages up to the time of such termination, but no t for
any longer period.
Wages not to
accrue during
refusal to work or
imprisonment.
