Merchant Shipping Act (Cap. 234), article 144
144. When a seaman is by reason of illness incapable of
performing his duty and it is proved that the illness has been caused
by his own wilful act or default, he shall not be entitled to w ages
for the time during which he is by reason of the illness incapa ble of
performing his duty.
Compensation to
seaman improperly
discharged.
