Merchant Shipping Act (Cap. 234), article 189

189. (1) The master of any ship shall without delay give notice to the Minister, or to any customs or police officer, of the presence on board of any person found attempting to secrete himself in such ship for the purpose of going to sea as a stowaway, and shall assist in causing such person to be landed. (2) If a master contravenes any of the provisions of this article he shall for each offence be liable to a fine (multa) not exceeding fifty units.
