Social Security Act (Cap. 318), article 109
109. (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, an appeal from
the decision of the Um pire shall lie to the Court of Appeal (In ferior
Jurisdiction) at the instance of any person, including the Dire ctor,
who was a party to the pro ceedings before the Umpire:
Provided that, where a person dies between the date of the
delivery of the decision of the Umpire and the time within whic h an
appeal may be entered in accord ance with sub-article (2), an ap peal
may also be made at the instance of the actual widow or actual
widower, or the heirs of such person.
(2) An appeal as aforesaid in thi s article shall be brought by a n
application within thirty days from the day on which the decisi on of
the Umpire is communicated in wr iting by registered post to the
claimant or benefici ary or the Director, as the case may be.
(3) The Minister responsible for justice may by regulations
under this sub-article establish the fees payable in the regist ry of
the courts relative to the filing of judicial acts in connectio n with
appeals to the Court of Appeal under this Act:

Provided that until such fees are so established by the
Minister, the fees contained in Schedule A to the Code of
Organization and Civil Procedure shall apply.
(4) The board established under article 29 of the Code of
Organization and Civil Procedure may make rules governing
appeals to the Court of Appeal (Inferior Jurisdiction) under th is
Act.
