51. Notwithstanding the provisions of articles 47 and 49, where a person is entitled to a Service Pension and his Service Pension together with the rate of Retirement Pension or Increas ed Retirement Pension applicable in his case is less than the rate of the National Minimum Pension in terms of article 50 or the Guarante ed National Minimum Pension in terms of article 50A as is applicab le in his case, such person shall be entitled to the National Mini mum Pension or the Guaranteed National Minimum Pension as applicable, abated by his Service Pension.
