Companies Act (Cap. 386), article 215
215. The term "contributory" m eans every person liable to
contribute to the assets of a co mpany in the event of its disso lution,
and the provisions of articles 216 and 217 shall apply for
determining the persons so liable:

Provided that a reference in a company’s memorandum or
articles to a contributory shall not, unless the context otherw ise
requires, include a person who is a contributory only by virtue of
article 217.
