Employment and Industrial Relations Act (Cap. 452), article 51
51. (1) A trade union or an employers’ association, and any
member, officer or other official thereof, shall not perform an y act
in furtherance of any of the purposes for which it is formed un less
such union or association has first been registered.
( 2 ) A n y t r a d e u n i o n o r e m p l o y e r s ’ a s s o c i a t i o n , a n d a n y
member, officer or other official thereof, who contravenes the
provisions of sub-article (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall
be liable on conviction to a fine ( multa ) not exceeding one
thousand and one hundred and sixty-four euro and sixty-nine cen ts
(1,164.69).
