39. (1) The Authority shall cause to be kept proper books of accounts and other records in respect of its operation s and shall cause to be prepared a statement of accounts in respect o f each financial year of the Authority. (2) The accounts of the Authority shall be audited by auditors appointed by the Board from among persons who are qualified to be appointed as auditors of a company:      Cap. 396. Provided that the Minister may require the books and accounts of the Authority to be audited or examined by the Audi tor General who shall for the purpose have all the powers set out i n the Auditor General and Na tional Audit Office Act .
