Gaming Act (Cap. 583), article 48
48. (1) Without prejudice to the other provisions of this
Act, the appointment of officers and other employees of the
Authority, and the establishment of terms and conditions thereof,
shall be made by the same Authority.
(2) The Authority shall appoint and employ, at such
remuneration and upon such terms and conditions as it may in
accordance with this article determine, such officers and emplo yees
of the Authority as may, from time to time, be necessary for th e due
and efficient discharge of the functions of the Authority. With out
prejudice to the other provisions of this article and this Act, t h e
appointment and employment of officers and employees shall be
regulated by the provisions of the Second Schedule.
(3) No member, employee or other officer of the Authority
may participate in gaming offered by an operator regulated by t he
Authority.
Cap. 9.(4) For the purposes of the Criminal Code and of any
provision of penal nature in any other law, the members of the
Authority and every officer or employee thereof shall be deemed to
be public officers.
