36. No owner or driver of a vehicle for hire shall, without reasonable excuse, refuse to let out such vehicle to any given place, or, at the choice of the person requiring the hire of the vehicle, for a specified or unspecified time not exceeding four hours, provided the person requiring the hire of the vehicle consents that such hire should commence from the moment in which the request for the hire is made. Fare leviable for hire of taxi-cars. Added by: XXIII. 2000.30. Amended by: XV. 2009.49; V. 2011.7. Cap. 499.
