384. Where, however, there are reasonable grounds to believe that, for providing for the safety of individuals or for the ke eping of the public peace, the recognizan ce referred to in the last prec eding article is not sufficient, the court may moreover require the offender to find a sufficient surety, and the court may further require that such recognizance, with or without surety, be ente red into for an indefinite period, t hat is to say, until such time as the court shall be of opinion that there is good cause for the term ination of the said recognizance.
