Criminal Code (Cap. 9), article 287
287. Whosoever, having been convicted in Malta for theft, or for
receiving stolen articles, is fo und to have in his possession f ruits,
plants, or other field or garden produce or money or other arti cles,
not in keeping with his condition, the lawful possession of whi ch
he does not satisfactorily account for, or is found to have in his
possession any adapted or counterfeit keys, or any implements
capable of opening or forcing open any lock, or to have in his
possession any impression of loc ks, the actual lawful destinati on of
which he does not satisfactorily account for, shall, on convict ion,
be liable to imprisonm ent for a term not e xceeding three months .
