647C. (1) Where the Attorney Gen eral receives a request made by a judicial, prosecuting or administrative authority of any p lace outside Malta or by an international court for - (a) the taking of and supply of dactyloscopic data; or (b) the taking and examination of a non-intimate sample; or (c) the DNA profile of a person suspected in that place of a relevant offence or of a person accused, in proceedings before the c ourts of that place or international tribunal, of a relevant offence, the Attorney General shall communicate the request to a Magistrate, who shall, upon receiving the request, order the ar rest of the requested person and the provisions of article 355A V(c) shall, mutatis mutandis , apply in the execution of a request communicated und er this article. (2) The Magistrate shall tran smit the said data, sample or profile, together with any report or result of the examination, to the Attorney General. (3) For the purposes of this article the terms "DNA profile" and "dactyloscopic data" shall have the meaning respectively assign ed to them in article 548; "relevan t offence" shall have the meani ng assigned to it in article 435D. (4) The provisions of article 649(2) and (5) shall mutatis mutandis apply to a request made under this article. Identification of person or object.
