77. The punishment established in the last preceding article shall apply to any person who shall take any such oath or engagement as provided in that article, unless he shall have be en compelled thereto: Provided that compulsion shall not justify or excuse any person taking such oath or engagem ent, unless he shall, within four days after such compulsion shall cease, report the fact to the public authorities.
